Ingredients
Box of whole wheat fusilli pasta
3/4 pound bacon, diced
2 cups half and half
1 cup reduced fat milk
2 cups reduced fat cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup green onions, sliced
Directions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook bacon in the pan and remove. Pour fat out of the pan. Let bacon cool a little then roughly chop.
- Place pan back on medium heat and add half and half and milk. Bring to a simmer for about 3 minutes until it reduces a little. Add cheddar cheese and chopped bacon. Stir to melt.
- Add pasta to the sauce and stir to combine. Serve and sprinkle green onions on top.
